For many there is a lot of memories in an old gas station ... for me it was
the Signal station on West Van Buren in Phoenix Arizona
where we hung out as
teenagers just getting our first cars ... and needing a place to get our gas and
tinker a bit ... the Signal station
belonged to my friend Warren Sexton's dad
... I got my license in 1956 and my parents signed for me to get a 1948 Ford Sedan
...
which I tore up quickly ... but I quit school and got a job ... and bought
my own next car ... a 1929 Model A Ford roadster for $100.00
cash - ha! ... so
I just said this to let you know why I have developed this love of old gas stations
and why I love designing and building
them for others ... what was your favorite?
