SUNLIGHT DEPRIVATION BLUES
By Danney Ball, BMI

Just want to lay out on a towel in the sand down by the shore
put on those walking shorts and shop outdoors a little more
but my life had been downgraded cause my tan is gettin faded
I got the sunlight deprivation blues
.
Need to bar-b-que on the patio on a week-end afternoon
Take a barefoot stroll thru the neighborhood and hum a silly tune
Please take these clouds away love and that might stop the pain of
these sunlight deprivation blues
.
It affects my brain and keeps my tense you know it isn't right
My senses crave a shot or two of that total spectrum light
.
That boogie board is cryin out to see a little surf
Need a sunset game of volleyball just to claim a little turf
My games a little rusty sunglasses gettin dusty
got those sunlight deprivation blues
.
I want to cruise in a convertible out on the avenue
Treasure hunt at yardsales on a sunny afternoon
But nobody's up for rowdy as long as it stays cloudy
Must be the sunlight deprivation blues
.
All cooped up were so tired of livin lives by telephone
we long to see those bare midrifts and smell that coppertone
.
Gotta ride my bike on the boardwalk down at the beach
browse among the tanktops score me a suntanned peach
Might get my life together If I could change this weather
and lose these sunlight deprivation blues
.
It's time to skate my way to heaver with an Eskimo Pie
set off some fireworks like it was the fourth of July
can't wait for it to warm up and give this stupid storm up
and these sunlight deprivation blues
.
can' wait to get some sight love
so I can take a bite of
these sunlight deprivation blues
yeah ...
